Yoga Studio Compliments Hotel Rose as New Ground-Floor Tenant

Wheeler Development Group (WDG) has signed a lease with the first retail tenant set to open at Hotel Rose. Kula Yoga, with two studio locations and a community center in the greater Grand Rapids area, will bring its unique and eclectic offerings to the boutique hotel in Fall 2025.

PURE Real Estate Brokerage Facilitates New Tenant Agreement

The two companies signed a lease for a 1,550 square foot space at 24 S. Main St. NE on the ground floor of Hotel Rose. The transaction was facilitated by listing broker, Courtney Marquis Mulica with PURE Real Estate Brokerage, who represents WDG and the Hotel Rose ownership group. Marquis Mulica stated,

“It’s been an honor representing Hotel Rose and bringing unique retail opportunities to Rockford. Our intent with the overall tenant mix on the ground floor of Hotel Rose is to deliver offerings that serve both the hotel guests and the area residents alike. Kula Yoga does just that”.

Kula Yoga Expands to Third Location with Hotel Rose Studio Space

Kula Yoga opened its doors in 2016 and has locations on Wealthy and Leonard Streets in Grand Rapids, along with a community space, The Kula Collective, above their Leonard St. studio. With a wide array of weekly classes, diverse workshops and event offerings, and a sliding scale monthly membership option, Kula will be an incredible addition to the Downtown Rockford community.

Owner Megan Rader Comments on New Location

Kula Owner, Megan Rader added,

“We’ve been wanting to plant roots in Rockford for years, and Hotel Rose is the perfect spot for our Rockford yoga home. We’ll be surrounded by the charm of downtown while serving the wonderful people of Rockford and welcoming hotel guests visiting the area. Rockford deserves an established yoga studio that’s close to home, and I’m honored that Kula has the opportunity to make an impact on the city.”

WDG is working with PURE Real Estate Brokerage on finalizing agreements on the remaining ground floor space. WDG will announce additional tenants in early 2025.
