Local Firms Facilitate Lease Agreement for New MudPenny Location
The two companies signed a lease for a 3,230 square foot space at 28 S. Main St. NE on the south end of Hotel Rose. The transaction was facilitated by the listing broker, Courtney Marquis Mulica with PURE Real Estate Brokerage, and tenant’s broker, NAI Wisinski of West Michigan’s Jason Makowski, SIOR and Mary Anne Wisinski-Rosely, SIOR, CCIM.
Mulica stated, “Congratulations to Mudpenny on their continued growth and success. It has been a pleasure working with them, and we are excited to see the warmth and community spirit they bring to Hotel Rose.”

Architectural Vision Comes to Life as Construction Begins
WDG Construction will perform the restaurant build-out. Mudpenny hired Brant Raterink of BD Design for the interior design. The restaurant will open this fall and will be open Monday-Friday 7am-9pm, Saturday 8am-9pm, and Sunday 8am-3pm. The restauranteur will begin hiring this summer and expects to create approximately 10 full-time employment opportunities, along with an additional 12-15 part-time positions.
